Nakheel

The Palm Jumeirah was the first of three manmade islands created by Nakheel Properties, the largest real estate developer in Dubai. The island together with its sister islands the Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira form Nakheel’s  flagship properties.

Creating the islands has been widely considered one of the most ambitious feats of engineering in modern history and has been extensively marketed as the eighth wonder of the world. Nakheel operates under the umbrella of DubaiWorld, an investment company which manages and supervises a portfolio of businesses for the Dubai Government. The Executive Chairman of Al Nakheel is Mr Sultan Ahmed bin Sulavem.
